Worth knowing before you book: 161 greyhounds were killed on the track in Britain last year. GBGB’s own figures. Racing is a death sentence for greyhounds.
Deaths at the dog tracks went up in 2025 by 31%, in a year with 25,000 fewer runs. GBGB’s chief executive admitted it. This industry has blood on its hands.
Greyhounds will run until a bone breaks, chasing something that doesn’t exist. This is such a cruel industry that no one should be supporting.
In 2025, 35 greyhounds were killed for being “unsuitable for homing.” That’s the racing industry’s own wording. Bred for this, used by it, and killed when nobody could profit from them anymore. Two more were killed because treatment cost too much. Shut this industry down!

This is the single most useful thing. We are outside the stadium on race nights, and everyone is welcome. No experience needed, and nobody stands alone.

Never bet on a dog race, and never attend one
Simply put, the fewer people that support this cruel industry, the better.
If your workplace, club, or group is booking an event at Romford, tell them what happens there. The stadium sells hard to work dos, birthdays, hen and stag nights, and parties. One email to an events organiser has cancelled bookings before once they are aware of the reality of these races. We can give you the figures to send.
